The laser level I swore I'd never buy now lives in my apron

Back in 2010 I was framing houses outside Boise and laughed at a guy using one of those green beam things. Told him a chalk line and a good eye never let me down. Then last spring I had to hang 30 cabinet bases solo and the wall was out of plumb by half an inch. Borrowed my cousin's laser, marked my lines in ten minutes flat, and every box sat perfect. Now I use it for everything from door jambs to deck posts, but I still keep a chalk line in the truck for old times sake. Anyone else eat their words on a tool they mocked early in the trade?
