Just realized my miter saw cuts changed after one summer of humidity

I keep my Milwaukee miter saw in the garage in Tampa. Back in March the cuts were tight, zero gaps on crown. By August I was fighting 1/16th gaps on every joint. Took me way too long to figure out the wood was moving, not the saw. The humidity swelled the stock between rough cut and final cut. I dry cut in the morning, then by afternoon the same board was thicker. Anyone else deal with this seasonal shift in the South? Do you store your lumber inside a conditioned space or just deal with it?

That garage humidity is a sneaky beast for sure. So when you do your final cuts, are you letting the wood sit in the same spot for a full day before you trust the measurements, or are you just cutting and crossing your fingers? I've had to start checking thickness with calipers on anything I rip, because morning and afternoon stock can be two different animals down here.
