Just dropped $120 on a Festool track saw track and it was worth every penny

I finally got tired of fighting with warped plywood cuts on my jobsite in Arlington last week. My circular saw with a straight edge guide was fine for rough work, but I needed clean splits for a custom closet build. So I bit the bullet and bought the 55 inch Festool track, not the saw just the track because my Makita fits it with an adapter. Cost me $120 at a local tool supply place. First cut I made was dead straight, no splintering, no measuring errors. I felt like an idiot for not doing this sooner, honestly. But hey, has anyone else found a cheaper track that works as good with the Makita? I might grab a longer one but dont want to drop another $200.

Read somewhere that the Bosch track works with Makita too and it's a bit cheaper. Might be worth checking out if you're trying to save some cash. The Festool stuff is nice but the price tag hurts.

@the_parker I've heard the same thing... Bosch tracks work fine with Makita saws and save you some cash.
