I finally hit 10,000 board feet this week and it felt weird

I've been framing for 7 years and always figured I'd notice when I crossed some milestone, but it was a Tuesday afternoon in Tacoma measuring out a roof job that my notebook showed the number. The client wanted an extra dormer and I just did the math without thinking. It made me realize I've been underestimating how far repetition and consistency get you in this trade. Has anyone else tracked their total output and been surprised by the number?

Tracking output feels like a trap to me. The numbers just add up while you're busy doing the actual work, and then you look back and it's all sort of blurry anyway.
