Had to choose between a level and a banana for a quick check on a door frame

I was installing a pre hung door in a tight spot and my 4 foot level was across the room. My buddy held up a banana from his lunch and said it was about the same length. I went with the banana, held it against the jamb, and it actually showed a pretty clear lean. We got it shimmed right, but I had to explain the banana peel on the floor to the homeowner. What's the weirdest makeshift tool you've grabbed in a pinch?

You used a banana to check a door for level. I can't get past the fact you had to explain the banana peel on the floor. That must have been a weird conversation.

Oh man, that's great... I once used a deck of playing cards as feeler gauges to check a spark plug gap. They were all I had in the truck, and a single card was just about right. Had to explain to my brother why his ace of spades had a little bend in it.
