Ditched my old framing square for a digital angle finder last week
I spent 10 years using that old beat-up Stanley square from my first job in Portland. My boss always said 'trust the square, not your eye' but I kept getting weird angles on rafters. Finally bought a digital one from Home Depot for 40 bucks and it cut my layout time in half. Anyone else make the switch to digital tools and never look back?

Forty bucks sounds like a steal for that much time saved. I hung onto my old square for way too long out of pure stubbornness, thinking I had to earn the upgrade. When I finally caved and got a digital level, it was like I had been working with one hand tied behind my back all those years. That old trust in the tool is fine, but the digital ones just do not lie the same way a worn-out blade can. Glad you found something that actually works better.

Same here, I held onto a rusty speed square way longer than I should have.
