Bought a $300 Japanese pull saw for a big trim job and it changed my whole game.
I was doing a full crown molding install on a house in Tacoma and needed something precise. This thing cut so clean I barely needed to sand any of the joints. Anyone have a favorite brand for finish work like this?

What brand was it, because that sounds like a total game changer for trim work?

Bought a saw once because the handle was pretty. Regretted it for years.

That's a solid saw, but $300 is steep for a pull saw unless it's a specialty joinery blade. My Suizan dozuki was under $80 and handles crown molding just fine. The real game changer is the blade type, not the price tag. Avery_smith22, you should check if they got a double-edged blade for those tricky inside cuts.
