Walked into a Houston coworking space and saw 3 job coaches giving the same scripted advice

I dropped by a networking event at a coworking spot off Westheimer last Tuesday. Paid $25 to get in, and within 10 minutes I heard three separate 'career coaches' tell people to just 'update your LinkedIn headline' and 'network more.' That's it. No mention of industry trends, no talk about certifications that actually matter, no breakdown of which skills are in demand. It felt like a cookie cutter assembly line. I get that basic advice works for some, but at what point do we admit these paid-for pep talks are just recycled blog posts with a handshake? Has anyone else sat through one of these events and felt like the $25 entry fee was pure theater?
