That moment my project plan fell apart during a client meeting
I was in a conference room at a mid-size firm in Denver, presenting a 6-month timeline for a big software rollout. About 4 slides in, my lead developer pointed out I had the testing phase overlapping with a major holiday week. I froze for a second, then admitted the mistake right there instead of trying to bluff through it. The client actually respected that I caught it early, and we spent the next hour rebuilding the schedule together in real time. Ended up pushing the go-live date back 3 weeks, but it saved us from a total disaster later. Has anyone else had to throw out their whole plan on the spot to keep a client's trust?

Felt that one in my bones. Nothing worse than that split second where your brain just short circuits in front of everyone. Good on you for being real about it though, that's way harder than just trying to cover it up.
