Ugh, that's brutal. I took a job just to have one and spent months miserable, learning nothing. It really can trap you in a bad spot while your friends move ahead.

Used to believe you should grab any job you can get... but seeing friends stuck in bad roles changed my mind. It can really slow you down if the work teaches you nothing useful. Sometimes holding out for a fit is better than just taking a paycheck. The lucky ones don't always get how risky a bad job can be for your career.
