Wasn't it kind of rude to ask for more? That's what I always thought... like they might just take the offer back. But hearing a real story like yours really makes it clear. I guess they expect some back and forth, and the worst they can say is no. It's a simple question that can make a real difference. I'm going to try it next time for sure.
