My big presentation crashed 10 minutes in and I had no backup plan

Last Tuesday I was presenting to the whole marketing team about our Q3 goals and the projector died, plus my laptop froze, and I just stood there for a solid 2 minutes panicking before someone handed me a whiteboard marker - has anyone else had a tech fail completely ruin their moment and how do you prepare for that now?

Catastrophically wrong" might be a stretch for a dead projector and frozen laptop.

Is it really a presentation if something doesn't go catastrophically wrong at least once? I once spent a full minute trying to turn on a clicker that wasn't even connected to anything. Now I literally carry a printed copy of my slides and a spare charger in my bag like I'm prepping for a disaster movie. You'd think I was going into a bunker, not a conference room.
