Am I the only one who learned more from a 20 minute shift with a barista than from a $400 LinkedIn course
I dropped $400 on a LinkedIn course back in March and got maybe two good tips out of it. But when I started at the coffee shop on 5th, Maya let me watch her handle a line of 15 people during the morning rush and it hit me, she greets regulars by name, repeats the order back, and never touches the register until the drink is done. That whole flow took me 20 minutes to copy and my tips went up $30 a shift. Has anyone else picked up a real skill from just watching someone work instead of paying for a class?
