Walked into a coffee shop and saw a canceled influencer working the counter
I went to a little cafe in Portland last weekend called Brew Anchor and who do I see behind the register? It was that travel vlogger who got canceled last year for faking a charity drive. She had a YouTube apology video with 2 million views then vanished for 8 months. Now she's pulling espressos and seemed genuinely nice to customers. Made me wonder if these people ever truly bounce back or just disappear into regular jobs. Has anyone else run into a canceled creator working a normal gig?

Did that coffee shop have a loyalty card? Because I feel like I've earned a free drink just from watching her apology video, I swear I watched it like three times. I've been canceled by my own family for burning Thanksgiving dinner once, so I can relate to needing a fresh start in the service industry. It's funny how a little humility and a steady paycheck can make someone seem more real than a million followers ever did.

Honestly tho, are we really acting like spilling some tea or whatever she did is on the same level as burning a turkey? I mean, yeah, she had to get a real job, but its not like she got exiled from society. Some people just need to log off for a day and realize nobody cares that much. The whole "i earned a free drink" thing is funny but also a little much. Its just coffee, not a medal for surviving drama.
