Vent: Remember when cancellations actually stuck around?
I was scrolling old forums last night and it hit me how fast people bounce back now. Like back in 2018 when that beauty guru got caught faking her skincare line, she was gone for a full two years. Now these influencers get exposed on a Tuesday and they're back with a "healing journey" video by Friday. Does anyone else feel like there's no real consequences anymore?

Man that really hits home... I've noticed the same thing and it bugs me more than it probably should. Remember when someone messed up and actually had to sit with the silence for a while? Now it's like a three day timeout and they're back acting like nothing happened. The apology videos are getting so fake too, you can practically see them reading off a script. It just makes the whole idea of consequences feel empty when nobody actually has to face real fallout anymore. Kinda makes you wonder what the point even is if everyone knows you'll be back in a week.

Does anyone else ever notice how the people who mess up the most are usually the ones who come back with the biggest "redemption arc" planned out? They skip the quiet part where they're supposed to actually change and just jump straight to the "I've grown so much" tour. And the worst is when they start monetizing the apology too, like selling merch or doing a podcast about "cancel culture" before they've even made things right with the person they hurt. Makes me think they're just using the whole situation for clout, not because they actually feel bad. Real growth ain't supposed to be a comeback story, you know?
