Took 730 days of defending that camping YouTuber, his own comeback stream ended it
I used to think the hate on Jake from the camping vlog channel was just jealous people. Even after the sponsor scam stuff came out in 2023, I kept saying he was just messy, not malicious. Then last month I watched his comeback stream where he tried to explain the fake giveaway and he laughed about it, like actually giggled at the winners who never got paid. That one moment of him not even pretending to care flipped a switch in my brain after 730 days of me making excuses for him. I finally unfollowed and even went back to read the old threads I argued in, felt dumb for sure. Has anyone else had a creator's own apology be the thing that made you walk away for good?
