Small win today: the YouTuber I used to watch got his 100k plaque in the mail after 7 years away from the platform
I know this sounds silly but I have been following this guy since like 2017. He was a commentary channel in the low six figures, got run off the internet in 2020 over some old tweets, and everyone said he was done for good. About 8 weeks ago I noticed he quietly came back with a little video about repairing old handheld consoles and it did like 40k views, nothing huge. Today he posted a short showing a 100k sub plaque showing up at his door and he looked like he was gonna cry. The thing is, his channel only had around 12k people left when he came back, so those 100k are mostly new folks who never knew about any of the drama. I do not care how anyone feels about his past, watching someone claw back from nothing on a channel the internet wrote off is a good feeling. Anyway, I was curious if anyone here has followed a comeback that started this slow and quiet instead of the usual big apology video. Does the slow rebuild ever stick, or do they all flame out again in a year?
