Saw a tweet from that one canceled chef saying he's opening a new restaurant in Phoenix next month

He got wrecked for faking food reviews on Yelp back in 2020, but his old place still had lines around the block. Is the public actually forgiving him or do people just not care about food drama anymore?

Holy crap wait. That guy actually had real crowds waiting in line? I totally forgot about the whole Yelp thing but that's wild if people are still showing up for his food. I figured after he got exposed for posting fake reviews his whole reputation would be toast, but I guess food is food in this town. Maybe Phoenix is just hungry enough to not care about drama when tacos are on the line.

Wait, @phoenix_thompson4 are you telling me people actually lined up after that whole Yelp mess came out? I mean I knew Phoenix was desperate for good eats but that's just crazy to me. I figured once the news broke about him faking all those reviews the guy would be done for good. But I guess if the tacos are actually good people don't really care about the drama behind them. That's kind of sad honestly like people just want their food and they'll ignore anything to get it. Do you think he's still doing well now or has the crowd died down since then?

Phoenix might be large enough that few people actually remember the Yelp scandal from 2020.
