Paid $40 for a canceled creator's 'comeback course' and it was just a loop of old apology videos
So back in March I dropped $40 on this bundle from a YouTuber who got canceled for some shady business stuff a few years ago. She was trying to make a comeback with a course about 'rebuilding your brand after public failure.' I thought it might have real advice since she lived through it. But when I opened it, it was literally just a playlist of her old apology videos and a PDF with some generic tips like 'be honest' and 'listen to feedback.' No actual strategy or specifics about how she got deals again or anything. I felt kind of burned honestly, like she just repackaged her drama as content. Has anyone else bought something from a canceled creator and felt like it was a cash grab?

It's wild how "rebuilding your brand" just means replaying the same old apology loops like that's supposed to teach you something. I see this everywhere now, people turning their mess into a product instead of just showing the real work they did to fix things. It's like buying a cookbook that's just a list of ingredients with no recipe.

I spent $30 on a "comeback hustle" course from that canceled finance guy who faked his car collection and it was literally a 45-minute video of him explaining how to delete your Twitter history and set up a new LLC. @the_holly nailed it with that ingredient comparison, that's EXACTLY what this stuff feels like. I guess I was hoping for actual steps like "here's how I apologized to partners" but instead I got "step one: record an apology." Pretty sure I got scammed by a scammer which is a new low even for me.
