Got called out for my old apology video format, had to rethink it
Back in 2017 I made this apology video after getting caught faking a giveaway. Used the classic sad filter, soft piano, and kept saying 'I take full responsibility' over and over. A commenter named Dave from Ohio basically ripped it apart in two paragraphs, said I sounded like a robot reading from a template. That stung but he was right. I switched to just talking straight to the camera, no music, no fancy edits, just me explaining what happened and what I'd do different. The next one I did after a smaller mistake got way better feedback and actually felt honest. Anyone else overhaul their comeback approach after a brutal comment? What did you drop or add?
