Got dragged in a Facebook group over my "receipts" post about a YouTuber, and honestly they were right
Back in March I made a whole post calling for this gaming YouTuber to get canceled over a clip where he sounded like he was making fun of a fan. A mod in a group of about 40k people replied that I had the timeline wrong and the clip was from 2019, already apologized for, and he had donated 3 months of ad money to a food bank in Detroit after it happened. I felt like such a jerk for piling on a dead issue just to get likes. Now before I post anything about someone getting canceled, I do a quick search for the date and any follow up, takes me like 5 minutes. Did you all ever get called out like that and actually switch up how you post?
