Took my old Coleman propane lantern on a trip last month and finally got why people switch to LED

I've been using the same green propane Coleman for like 8 years. It's loud and hisses and you gotta carry extra fuel canisters. Last month at Lake Wenatchee it was windy and the mantles kept breaking. My buddy pulled out his little Black Diamond LED lantern and it just worked silent for 6 hours straight. No extra fuel or fragile parts. I'm not totally ditching propane yet but I ordered a rechargeable one off Amazon to try this summer. Anyone else make the switch and regret it or not?

7 years with my old propane lantern and I feel your pain on those mantles shattering in the wind. Switched to a cheap Husky LED last season and honestly the silence alone is worth it for me. I still keep the Coleman for sentimental camping trips but the LED is my go-to now.
