Shoutout to the guy who sold me a leaky camp stove on Craigslist
Picked up a used MSR WhisperLite from a seller outside Denver last week. Got it home, fired it up in the backyard, and fuel started dripping from the pump assembly. Turns out the O-ring was shot and I had to spend $8 at REI on a replacement kit. Honestly, has anyone else had a cheap fix save a burner that looked totally dead?

Eight bucks and ten minutes of your time... sounds like a steal compared to buying new.

Fuel started dripping from the pump assembly" - man, that's the kind of thing that makes you want to throw the whole stove in the trash. But it's wild how often a stupid O-ring or gasket is the only thing standing between a perfectly good stove and the scrap pile. I've resurrected so much gear that way, it almost makes you wonder if manufacturers do it on purpose.

@gavin_kelly91 My buddy fixed his leaky propane tank with a dime for the valve seat.
