Reviewer said my camp stove setup was a fire hazard, he was right
Last month I went out to Big Sur and posted a photo of my cooking area, propane tank sitting right next to the fire ring. A guy commented that the heat could crack the valve and cause a blowout. I laughed it off at first, but then I looked up some stories online and yeah, it happens more than you think. I moved the tank about 15 feet away and got a longer hose for my Coleman stove. Also started checking the seal on the regulator before every trip now. Anyone else ever get called out on a safety thing that you totally ignored until someone pointed it out?

Grabbed one of those cheap infrared thermometers after a buddy nearly melted his regulator line the same way. Turns out the ground right next to a fire ring can hit 150+ degrees even a few hours after the flames die down. I run the tank at least 10 feet out now, and I point the valve away from the heat source, just in case. Also, that rubber hose gets baked by UV over time, so I replace mine every couple seasons or if it feels stiff. Good on you for checking the seal, that little o-ring is the first thing to go on those cheaper stoves.
