Okay, full confession: I used to think camp shoes were dumb, but hiking in wet boots all day made me a believer.

Heard a guide say once that most blisters actually form after you stop hiking, when your damp feet sit in cold boots. Made me realize camp shoes aren't just for comfort, they're for damage control. Letting your feet dry out and warm up in dry socks and light shoes can save your next day on the trail. That changed the whole game for me.

Blisters happen from hiking, not after, so camp shoes are pointless.

But @hall.nina might be onto something, seems a bit extra.
