My new camp stove's regulator gave out in the middle of making coffee at Lake Tahoe
It was a Coleman Triton 2-burner, only about 8 months old. The flame just sputtered and died, and I couldn't get it to relight no matter what. I ended up having to use my backup single-burner butane stove for the rest of the trip. Has anyone else had a regulator fail that quickly on a fairly new stove?

Wait, did you mean the regulator or the generator tube? On those Coleman stoves, the little brass tube that goes into the fuel line gets clogged way more often than the actual regulator fails. It's a super common issue, even on new ones.

Oh, that's a good point. I read a repair guide that said the same thing about the generator tube clogging first. They recommended cleaning it with a wire before replacing any parts. Makes sense to check the simple stuff.

Did you try cleaning that brass tube @ellis.mia, because that fixes it like 90% of the time.
