My collapsible camp sink folded in half on day 2 in Moab

I bought this 20 dollar collapsible sink for dish duty, thought it would be the smartest thing since the camp stove. Second morning at the campsite near the Colorado River, I filled it with hot water and the whole side just buckled inward, dumped soapy water all over my boots. The plastic hinge joint was clearly the weak point, and I ended up hand-washing everything in the river with biodegradable soap. Anyone else ditched the fancy gear for a basic plastic tub that actually holds its shape?
