I wasted $80 on a super fancy camping pillow before I figured out the cheap trick
I spent like 6 months trying different inflatable pillows from REI and Amazon, and none of them worked for me. I'd wake up with my head flat on the ground or the pillow would slide around all night. Then my buddy let me borrow his stuff sack filled with his puffy jacket, and it was literally perfect. I've been using my own jacket in a sack ever since, and it cost me zero extra dollars. Has anyone else found a simple household item that works better than the expensive gear you bought?

Spent $120 on mine before accidentally using my hoodie as a pillow.

A buddy of mine used to swear by his expensive camping pillow until he forgot it on a trip. He ended up stuffing his spare pair of jeans into a pillowcase from the cabin and said it was the best sleep he ever got in a tent.

Gotta agree with that. I did the same thing on a backpacking trip once, rolled up my fleece jacket and shoved it in a stuff sack. Woke up feeling better than with my three hundred dollar down pillow. Sometimes the cheap fix is just better.
