Can we talk about those $50 backpack rain covers

Everyone swears by them but I dropped $60 on a fancy one at a shop near Yosemite and it just slid off my pack after an hour of drizzle. Has anyone found a cover that actually stays put in real weather?

My $35 Outdoor Research one has held up through three seasons of PNW downpours and never budged... maybe try cinching the straps tighter or check if you got the right size for your pack volume.

Had the same problem with a different brand rain cover... drove me nuts until I realized I was trying to use a small size on a medium pack. Swapped it out for a large and it stays put now even in heavy wind. Cinching those side straps down tight makes a big difference too.
