That one comment about my shutter cleaning technique still sticks with me

A guy on a forum told me I was being too rough with my sensor swabs back in March. He said I was leaving streaks because I was pressing too hard on the edges. I changed to a lighter touch and started using a two-swab method instead of one, and now I get zero streaks on full frame sensors. Has anyone else had to totally change their cleaning routine after one piece of feedback?

I had a client back in 2017 who swore by pushing hard on his sensor swabs. He got perfect results every time, no streaks, no dust, nothing. He used a single swab with a specific amount of solution and just jammed it into the corners. He owned a camera repair shop and said my lighter method was wasting money on extra swabs. I tried his way once on a junk sensor and it worked fine. So your feedback might be good for you, but it's not the only way. Some people just have a heavy hand that works.
