Serious question, is it worth fixing a stuck shutter on a 40 year old point and shoot or just tell the customer no
Had a guy bring in a Canon Sure Shot from 1983 last Tuesday and the shutter blades are gummed up so bad it fires maybe one out of every five presses. I quoted him $95 for the teardown and clean but he thinks that is too much for a camera worth $40 on eBay, and honestly I am not sure I disagree with him. Do you all take on these low value repairs or do you draw a line somewhere, and if so where?
