PSA: Stop using canned air on shutter curtains

I had a guy bring in a Nikon FE yesterday with a mangled shutter. He said he was just blowing dust off the curtain with a can of compressed air. That blast is way too strong for those thin metal or cloth curtains, you can warp or puncture them in a split second. Use a bulb blower and a soft brush instead, please. Has anyone else seen ruined shutters from this mistake?

Sounds like his shutter got a little too much 'air time' if you know what I mean. RIP that Nikon FE.

Honestly I used to think shutter count didn't matter until my own camera died at 85,000.
