Met an old repair guy in Chicago who fixed a jammed shutter with a toothpick.
He pulled out a wooden toothpick from his shirt pocket and cleared a stuck blade in under 30 seconds while I was sweating over the same issue for an hour. Anyone else got a tool they swear by that sounds totally ridiculous?

A toothpick? That's wild lol. Old mechanics and repair guys always have some random trick up their sleeve like that.

Yeah @grant_allen85, those old school guys have been doing stuff like that forever. I saw a guy fix a loose carburetor on a lawnmower with a zip tie once. He said it would hold longer than buying a new part. Little stuff like that makes you wonder why we always reach for the duct tape first.
