I finally fixed my neighbor's old Pentax after it sat on my bench for six months.

I was about to give up, but then I found a tiny, bent spring under the mirror box that I'd missed every other time, and it just clicked back into place.

Classic. I’ve stared at a problem for months only to find the fix was something stupid I kept overlooking.

Yeah, that "stupid thing you keep overlooking" is the worst. My buddy had a car that wouldn't start for a week, and it was just the shifter not fully in park. Felt so dumb. @owens.nina knows the pain.

Ever notice how the fix is always in the last place you look, because obviously you'd stop looking after you find it? That spring was probably laughing at you the whole time.
