Discovered that a tiny dab of super glue on loose leatherette works better than any adhesive I tried before

I was fixing a Kodak Retina IIa where the leatherette kept peeling off after I used rubber cement twice. Put one tiny drop of super glue under the corner and pressed for 10 seconds, it has held perfect for 3 weeks now. Has anyone else had luck with super glue on old camera coverings?

Super glue's saved a few of my own cameras too. Just watch out for the white fog it can leave on some plastics if you use too much.

Put a tiny drop on a toothpick first, then dab it on the leatherette. That way you don't flood the area and get that white fog mess. I learned that the hard way on a Minolta SRT where the fog spread under the whole corner. Also, try to clamp it down with a binder clip for a full minute instead of just pressing with your finger. Makes a way stronger bond on those old peeling edges.
