An old guy at the swap meet told me my lens cleaning fluid was too strong for vintage coatings.

He said it was stripping the anti-reflective layer, so now I mix my own 50/50 solution with distilled water. What do you guys use for pre-1970s glass?

Yeah, I just use spit and a microfiber cloth now, which @graceblack would probably call the caveman method.

Oh man, I learned that the hard way too. My first vintage lens looks like it got in a fight with a bottle of Windex.
