Wasted 2 days and $300 on that fancy hinge jig, shoulda just used a template

Picked up that self-centering hinge jig from the supply house last Monday. Thought it would speed up all the inset doors I had lined up for a hotel job in Tulsa. Turns out the thing needs recalibration out of the box, and the instructions are worthless. Burned through 3 door panels before I realized the offset was off by a 16th on the cup bore. Ended up finishing the last 12 doors with my old plastic template and a router. Anyone else had a bad experience with these new jigs or did I just get a lemon?
