Tried a 1/16th inch offset on my drawer front gaps and it changed everything

I usually go for a consistent 1/8th gap on all sides, but on a kitchen job last month I accidentally cut the bottom gap half that size. Now I'm wondering if anyone else has messed with uneven gaps to make certain sight lines look cleaner?

Accidentally stumbled into a whole new design philosophy, huh?

Used to be all about perfect symmetry and straight lines in every room. But seeing how clever fixes like that can actually add character changed my whole view on it. Now I think planned imperfections look better than forced perfection.

Did a buddy purposely leave a gap on one side of his cabinets to hide a crooked wall?
