TIL that some wood glues cure too fast for precise joinery

It bonds before you can square the joints properly.

Funny you should mention that, because I once used a fast-drying glue for a school project and ended up with a lopsided birdhouse. The teacher said it looked 'artistic', but we all knew it was just bad timing. Always check the working time on the bottle, I guess.

Man, @theajackson is right about checking that working time. I once tried fixing a ceramic mug with instant bond glue. Had my fingers stuck together for an hour. That stuff sets way too fast for any real adjustment. Makes you appreciate the slow dry stuff for bigger jobs. Always read the fine print on the bottle, saves a lot of hassle.

Hope the birds appreciate modern architecture.
