That one client who told me my dovetails were 'too tight' still bothers me
Had a guy in Cleveland last fall who insisted his grandfather's cabinets had 'breathing room' in the joints. He made me widen my dovetails by like a 32nd of an inch. Three months later his doors started sagging and he blamed the wood movement. Has anyone else had a client push back on joinery standards?

My shop teacher back in the day would have laughed us out of the room for calling 1/32 a gap lol. @daniel_lane30 is spot on though, in my experience walnut and cherry move enough after a season or two that you barely notice the difference between a 32nd and a tight joint anyway.
