That finish guy's advice about sanding between coats backfired on me
A cabinet finisher in Portland told me to hit every coat with 320 grit before the next one, said it would make the lacquer flow out dead flat. I followed it on a cherry kitchen set last week and now I've got tiny scratches showing through the final sheen that I can't buff out. Anyone else had this happen or did I just screw up the technique?
