Shelled out $600 for a plunge base and bit set, the cheap knockoff I returned was honestly better

Bought the premium set last month for a curved panel job in Columbus, but the collet wobbled on the first cut and the micro-adjust knob stripped by day two, anyone else gotten burned on name brand stuff and had to jury-rig the old one back in?
