Finally hit 500 linear feet of custom drawer boxes built this year
I was just looking at my shop notes and saw the total. I always thought I did more doors and face frames, but the drawer box number really jumped out. It's all from a few big kitchen jobs and a custom office project last spring. I used to think buying them pre-made was fine, but the fit and quality you get building them yourself is just different. Anyone else track their work like this and get surprised by what you actually do the most of?

the fit and quality you get building them yourself" is so true, it makes all the difference.

Yeah, that "fit and quality" thing Wesley mentioned is everything. I started tracking my time and materials last year and was shocked how much plywood I was actually cutting for boxes, not face frames. You just can't beat that perfect custom fit.
