Appreciation post: My old boss in Tacoma would clamp every single face frame joint for a full 24 hours, but I switched to pocket screws and glue and now I'm done in under an hour with zero springback.

Has anyone else found a faster method that still holds up over time?

So you're not using any clamps at all with the pocket screws? Just glue and screw and call it good?

Ever tried just pushing the boards tight by hand?

Hold up, are we just ignoring wood movement? Pocket screws and glue on a face frame sounds like a future headache. I had a cabinet door split clean in half after a year because the screws wouldn't let the wood move with the seasons. That old boss with the clamps was building stuff to last decades, not just to be fast. Sometimes the slow way is the right way.
