Why I stopped ignoring old-school bullet journaling advice
A coworker named Jen told me last year to stop using digital habit trackers and go back to a simple notebook. I thought she was crazy because apps are faster and sync everywhere. But after 6 months of bouncing between 4 different apps, I finally tried her method with a $3 notebook and a pen. Turns out writing stuff down by hand actually makes me remember to do it. I stuck with it for 3 full months now and my workout streak hit 87 days, which is a record for me. Has anyone else found that old tools work better than new ones for daily stuff?

Know exactly what you mean, it's wild how going backwards actually moves you forward in a weird way. I've noticed this same thing with grocery lists - I tried using a notes app for months and kept forgetting stuff, but a sticky note on the fridge? Boom, never miss anything. There's something about the physical act of writing that forces your brain to actually process the info instead of just tapping and forgetting. It's like how people say reading a printed book sticks better than scrolling on a screen, it's a whole different kind of attention. Makes me wonder if all this digital stuff is actually making us dumber in small ways we don't even notice until we step away from it.

And the best part is your phone battery dying doesn't cancel your whole week's progress.
