Three weeks ago I kept hearing "rawdogging" everywhere and I had no clue what it meant
I was scrolling a travel forum and someone said they rawdogged a 6 hour flight to Denver and I thought they meant actually flying without a plane or something wild. Turns out it just means doing a flight without entertainment or snacks or sleep aids. Has anyone else had a moment where a new term suddenly pops up everywhere and you feel completely out of the loop?

Jumped on a work call last week and my boss said he was "rawdogging" a meeting with no notes and I almost spit out my coffee thinking he meant something completely different. Turns out everyone's just bragging about flying with zero entertainment like it's some kind of badge of honor, meanwhile I'm over here needing three podcasts, a neck pillow, and a Xanax just to get through a 45 minute layover. I guess I've been rawdogging life for decades without even knowing it, just sitting in silence on buses and trains like a total amateur.

Hang on, your boss used the word "rawdogging" in a work meeting? Did anyone else just stop and stare or was I the only one picturing the HR violation of the century?

Read a thing online saying "rawdogging" started out as a joke about traveling without distractions, but now people are using it for everything from meetings to grocery shopping. Pretty funny how a word can flip meanings that fast though. @emery_young13 is right, hearing your boss say that in a call would make anyone do a double take.
