My sister's friend said it 20 times in 30 minutes describing cake, napkins, and a party hat, then I saw it all over my feed the next day. Has anyone else had a buzzword just wreck a whole social circle for them?

Funny how one word can flip from cute to annoying just by getting repeated into the ground. The real damage is when you can't hear it without picturing the person who overused it, and that sticks way longer than the word itself. Maybe the lesson is that some phrases lose their charm the minute everyone jumps on them, like a party hat nobody asked to wear.
