Tbh, my kid said something was 'mid' and I had to look it up

Heard my 14 year old call a new video game 'mid' last night, meaning just average or mediocre. It's everywhere on TikTok now, replacing 'basic' or 'trash'. Anyone else noticing this one popping up more?

Oh man, I feel ancient just reading that.

You know what makes me feel old, @johnson.jason? When I see a slang word I used in high school get called "vintage" online. It happens faster every year. I swear, the past gets turned into a throwback meme almost instantly now. It's like we're all on a treadmill that keeps speeding up.

My niece called a CD a "vintage Spotify" last week. The nostalgia cycle is on fast forward now.
