Showerthought: Is 'demure' really coming back or is it just a TikTok micro-trend?

I keep seeing people drop 'demure' in comments like it's the new 'aesthetic' or 'vibe.' Some folks are using it seriously to describe a low-key, classy look, but others are clearly joking about it. Remember when 'basic' was the big word everyone threw around? Now it feels like we're cycling through old adjectives and giving them new meaning every 6 months. Which side are you on... is 'demure' actually sticking around or will it be dead by next season?

Called it a microtrend three months ago and people got mad, now it's dead.

It's just the internet's way of recycling words from like 5 years ago and pretending they're new. Everything comes back around eventually, same as how people started wearing those 90s windbreakers again. This one will probably fade out once the next "aesthetic" catches everyone's attention.
