Shoutout to the guy on the bus who said 'delulu is the solulu' and now I hear it everywhere
I was riding the 7 bus in Seattle on Tuesday and some dude behind me kept saying 'delulu is the solulu' into his phone for like 10 minutes straight. I looked it up later and it's basically saying if you're delusional enough about a goal, it becomes true. Now I've seen it in 3 different group chats and a TikTok comment section since then. What bugs me is nobody can explain where it came from or when it started, they just parrot it. Is this one of those things that dies in a month or are we stuck with it? Would love to know if anyone has seen it outside of TikTok yet.
This phrase has been around way longer than some bus ride in Seattle, going back to at least early 2023 in stan Twitter circles before it ever hit TikTok. People always act like they discovered slang on the bus when it's been recycled for years across different platforms. Stuff like this never really dies, it just moves to the next app and somebody new thinks they started it.
